For many Christians and church leaders, the idea of Satanic Ritual Abuse (SRA) seems unthinkable—too extreme, too dark, or simply a “conspiracy theory.” Survivors often remain silent, families question their sanity, and pastors and congregations avoid the subject altogether. Yet, silence does not erase reality. SRA is real. It is devastating. And it is allowed to thrive when the church refuses to acknowledge it.

 This October, don’t just avoid Halloween. Replace it with something powerful. As John Ramirez says, “We should be armed and ready spiritually to destroy the enemy’s plans.”

Some churches try to “redeem” Halloween with alternatives like “Trunk or Treat” or harvest festivals. Ramirez is clear: “Stop trying to Christianize Halloween. You cannot put Jesus’ name on the devil’s holiday.” The Word of God gives us no permission to dabble in evil for the sake of tradition:

Church wounds are real. Many are walking around spiritually homeless because they were shamed, silenced, or misunderstood by the very people meant to shepherd them. Like Paul said in Ephesians 6:12, our battle isn’t against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil.
