For many Christians and church leaders, the idea of Satanic Ritual Abuse (SRA) seems unthinkable—too extreme, too dark, or simply a “conspiracy theory.” Survivors often remain silent, families question their sanity, and pastors and congregations avoid the subject altogether. Yet, silence does not erase reality. SRA is real. It is devastating. And it is allowed to thrive when the church refuses to acknowledge it.
This blog is written to bring awareness to the hidden truth of SRA and to offer encouragement: with Jesus Christ, there is healing, restoration, and freedom.
What Is Satanic Ritual Abuse?

SRA refers to organized, intentional abuse carried out in the context of occult rituals. Survivors describe horrific acts—violence, defilement, blood rituals, mind control, and dissociation—done in the name of Satan and other pagan gods . The goal is to shatter identity, separate victims from God, and bind them in spiritual chains. It is typically systematic and secretive, often involving networks, and it leaves deep layers of trauma and spiritual oppression.
This is not new: Scripture names these practices
Child sacrifice

Do not give any of your children to be sacrificed to Molek…” (Leviticus 18:21)
“They sacrificed their sons and their daughters to false gods… and the land was desecrated by their blood.” (Psalm 106:37–38)
…they built high places… to sacrifice their sons and daughters to Molek…” (Jeremiah 32:35)

Adult ritual sacrifice & sexual mutilation
“Do not worship the Lord your God in their way… they even burn their sons and daughters in the fire…” (Deuteronomy 12:29–31)
“No one who has been emasculated by crushing or cutting may enter the assembly of the Lord.”* (Deuteronomy 23:1)
Witchcraft, sorcery, necromancy

“Let no one be found among you… who practices divination or sorcery… engages in witchcraft… or consults the dead.” (Deuteronomy 18:10–12)
“Do not turn to mediums or seek out spiritists…”*(Leviticus 19:31)
Blood rituals
“Any… who eats any blood… I will set my face against that person… For the life of a creature is in the blood.”* (Leviticus 17:10–11)
“You slaughtered my children and sacrificed them to the idols…” (Ezekiel 16:21–22)
The Bible makes clear: these detestable practices were real in ancient times—and tragically, they remain real today.
Voices Exposing the Reality of SRA
Pastor Dave Bryan (Church of Glad Tidings) – Teaches on exposing the darkness like SRA, deliverance, spiritual warfare among other topics and Isaiah 61 as the church’s mandate.
Kay Tolman (Revelation Gateway Ministries) – Survivor, author, and trainer equipping churches to minister to SRA/DID survivors.

John Ramirez – Former occultist exposing witchcraft tactics and equipping believers in spiritual warfare.

Why Many Christians Struggle to Believe
For some leaders, SRA feels “too far-fetched.” Others dismiss survivor testimonies as purely psychological. But the Bible doesn’t minimize evil—it names it and calls the church to expose it.
“Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.” (Ephesians 5:11)
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy…” (John 10:10)
“Our struggle is not against flesh and blood…” (Ephesians 6:12)
“You did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear… the Spirit of adoption…” (Romans 8:15)
Personal Testimony: From the Brink to Breakthrough
Childhood Torment
By the age of nine I had endured more molestations and rapes than I can even count. I was hung in a closet and tortured, buried alive, sewn into the carcass of animals, and hunted in the woods by evil men. These crimes were done to please the enemy’s lust for destruction and his hatred of God’s children. The evil men who committed these violent acts and rituals with my body did so to gain power and influence both in the physical world and in the kingdom of hell. This is only a small portion of the ongoing abuse and torment I endured at the hands of satanists.
The enemy’s plan was clear: to destroy me before I could ever discover the Father of Love.
As 40 approached, a full-scale assault erupted:
An email bombshell from a relative confessed to exploitative childhood images—with photos attached. Shock, dissociation, and collapse followed.
Authorities contact: escalated fear and trauma.
Workplace betrayal: false rumors of immorality; a complaint threatened my nursing exams—my 20-year dream suddenly gone.
Harassment & vandalism my car was damaged at work; my childhood abuser parked outside my home.
Church accusations: even in a loving new church, pastoral slander and labeled me “immoral.”
Physical collapse: insomnia, panic, vomiting, hair loss, fainting—bedridden for almost a year .
Night assaults: bruises, lash-like welts—manifestations later identified as incubus/succubus oppression.
My nervous system stayed locked in Fight/Flight/Freeze. Doctors found “nothing wrong,” yet I could barely sit up. Suicidal ideation resurfaced—I had long believed I wouldn’t live past 40.
Papa God Sends Help
Two men—Rick (a pastor and co-worker) and an evangelist—refused to abandon me. Rick listened, prayed, and stood inside the pain with me when all others ran away.
First major deliverance: With John Eckhardt’s teaching and prayers, a manifestation surfaced; an entity taunted legal rights. In Jesus’ name, Rick commanded it to leave. After nearly 90 minutes, oppression broke. Relief came.
Dr. T, a Christian counselor, admitted SRA was beyound the scope of his knowledge —but pledged to help find a team. His honesty stabilized my hope and kept me going back for appoinments to check in.
Kay Tolman’s ministry: Training and prayer helped close demonic “doors.”
Be in Health: A season of mind–body–spirit healing and identity restoration.
John Ramirez’s teachings: Exposed occult entry points; taught me to renew my mind.
Mentors revealed the “40-year call back,” explaining the enemy’s strategy to reclaim survivors at 40. That truth defused fatalistic programming.
Prophetess: Delivered words only God could know, giving me night-battle strategies. One word directed Rick and me to a two-week trip that became a turning point.
Step by Step Deliverance
After Rick and I married, I pressed into even more healing. Healing truly happens in an environment of love. Together, we found Pastor Dave Bryan’s church and attended the week-long Isaiah 61 Conference. The head of their deliverance team came alongside us and has been a crucial part of my journey—walking me through renewing my mind, breaking deeper strongholds, and stepping into ongoing freedom.
Identity Restored
In the midst of deliverance, God healed and is still healing my deepest wound: my identity.
When my stepfather, Poppy, legally adopted me as an adult, it was more than a family gesture—it was prophetic restoration. For the first time, I knew what it felt like to be wanted as a daughter. I was no longer “the daughter of a monster.” I was chosen.

That adoption mirrored what God was sealing in my spirit: I was grafted into His family.
Through deliverance at the Isaiah 61 Conference, through Kay Tolman’s ministry, and through faithful shepherding by Rick and others, I learned that my identity was not “victim” or “SRA survivor” alone. My truest identity is daughter of the Father of Love, co-heir with Christ, walking free.
I AM AN OVERCOMER.
Where Satan tried to write my story with abuse and torment, God rewrote it with love, belonging, and victory. JESUS IS THE VICTOR!
A Message to Survivors
You are not alone. What happened to you was real—and it was evil. But it is not your identity. Jesus came “to destroy the works of the devil” (1 John 3:8) and “to set the captives free” (Isaiah 61:1). Healing often unfolds in steps: safety and stability, breaking legal grounds, inner healing, deliverance, and discipleship within a trustworthy community. You can recover.
A Call to the Church
Silence doesn’t protect survivors—it protects perpetrators. Pastors and leaders, your people need you to:
Believe the Bible.
Believe survivors.
Equip a deliverance teams and safe pathways of care.
Jesus gave His followers a clear command:
“Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.” (Matthew 10:8)
This is not optional. As believers, we don’t get to cherry-pick which parts of Jesus’ instructions we want to obey. If we are not praying for the sick, casting out devils, and believing God for resurrection power, we are not walking in full obedience to His Word.
The call is urgent: the church must rise up in truth, power, and compassion.
“Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.” (Ephesians 5:11)

Light in the Darkness
SRA is real—and so is the victory of Jesus. Where Satan brings death, Christ brings life. Where rituals enslave, the cross and blood of Christs liberates. The church is called to open its eyes, expose the darkness, and walk with survivors toward healing.
✝️ “The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners.” — Isaiah 61:1

🙏 Prayer of Repentance, Wisdom, and Healing 🙏
Heavenly Father,
We come before You with humbled hearts, acknowledging that at times we have failed to believe the fullness of Your Word. Forgive us, Lord, for treating parts of Scripture as distant history rather than eternal truth. You warned us about child sacrifice, witchcraft, and blood rituals, yet too often we have turned away, dismissing the cries of survivors in our time.
Father, we repent for every way we have doubted, denied, or ignored the testimony of Your Word and the testimony of those who have suffered under Satanic Ritual Abuse. We ask that You forgive us for unbelief and for silence when You have called us to expose the works of darkness (Ephesians 5:11).
Lord, grant us wisdom to discern how to change a culture—even within the church—that does not believe survivors. Give us boldness to speak truth in love, courage to confront deception, and compassion to extend healing to those broken by these atrocities. Let Your church be a place of refuge, not rejection.
We lift before You every survivor of SRA. Jesus, You came to bind up the brokenhearted and set captives free (Isaiah 61:1). Pour Your healing oil over wounds of body, soul, and spirit. Break every chain of trauma, dissociation, and oppression. Restore their identity in You, Father, as beloved sons and daughters.
Holy Spirit, guide us in prayer and action. Show us how to stand in the gap, how to intercede for communities, and how to minister to survivors with compassion, patience, and Your power. Lead us to shine Your light in places of secrecy and shame, that every hidden thing may be brought into the light of Christ.
We renounce unbelief, silence, and fear. We embrace Your truth, Your healing, and Your call to be a people who stand against evil. Strengthen us, Lord, to walk in obedience and to be vessels of Your justice, love, and mercy.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who overcame death, hell, and the grave, we pray—Amen.
