For many Christians and church leaders, the idea of Satanic Ritual Abuse (SRA) seems unthinkable—too extreme, too dark, or simply a “conspiracy theory.” Survivors often remain silent, families question their sanity, and pastors and congregations avoid the subject altogether. Yet, silence does not erase reality. SRA is real. It is devastating. And it is allowed to thrive when the church refuses to acknowledge it.

I’ve often heard the christianese saying: “Holding onto unforgiveness is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to be affected.” In 2020, someone close to me, a family member, was poisoned. The effects were devastating. That person was left in a vegetative state, and I became one of their primary caregivers. One day, while I was tending to him, I heard the voice of the Lord speak clearly: “This is what unforgiveness does to your spirit.” The Holy Spirit showed me

Church wounds are real. Many are walking around spiritually homeless because they were shamed, silenced, or misunderstood by the very people meant to shepherd them. Like Paul said in Ephesians 6:12, our battle isn’t against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil. Much of the pain we carry stems from demonic attacks, not human intention—but when leaders lack discernment and compassion, they can become conduits of pain instead of healing.
