The Truth About Halloween: A Survivor’s Warning

I speak today as someone who has lived through the darkness that others only whisper about.

I am a overcomer of satanic ritual abuse — not rumor, not imagination, but reality. I have seen what happens when people open the wrong spiritual doors. I have survived being raped, tortured and forced to watch as a baby was ripped from my womb and given as an offering to the spirit of death.I have watched what the worship of death, demons, and power demands. And I can tell you with certainty: Halloween is not innocent.

For much of the Western world, Halloween has been wrapped in lights and laughter — costumes, candy, “fun.” But behind that mask lies an ancient spirit. From the beginning, this night has honored Samhain, the so-called lord of death, when the Celts believed the veil between worlds thinned and spirits crossed into the living. Fires were lit to appease, sacrifices offered to control the unseen.

  “There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire…or who practices divination.” — Deuteronomy 18:10-12

Across centuries, that celebration of death was never truly silenced; it was only repackaged. And now the Church, which should stand as a pillar of light, often joins the darkness with harvest parties, trunk-or-treats and cute skeletons, believing it is safe. But death cannot be domesticated. The same spirit that demanded blood thousands of years ago still delights in fear, terror, and bondage today.

     The Reality Behind the Mask

I know this personally. As a child, I was forced into rituals that honored the enemy. I witnessed the unspeakable done in the name of power. Those moments left scars that only Jesus Himself could heal. So when I speak about Halloween, it is not from theory — it is from experience.

Evil is not make-believe. Demons are not stories. What you play with, you invite. What you entertain, you empower.

  “Have nothing to do with the fruitless works of darkness, but rather expose them.” — Ephesians 5:11

Every symbol, every exchange — even a simple “trick-or-treat” — echoes the ancient pattern of covenant.

In spiritual law, exchange equals agreement. The enemy does not care if you “mean no harm.” He only cares that you participated.

Isaiah 28:15 calls it a “covenant with death.” But Jesus came to break that covenant once and for all.

  “The Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set us free from the law of sin and death.” — Romans 8:2

   A Call to the Church

Church, this is the hour to wake up. We cannot fellowship with darkness and expect light to remain.

  “What communion has light with darkness? … Come out from among them and be separate.”    

     "Don’t continue to team up with unbelievers in mismatched alliances, for what partnership is there between righteousness and rebellion? Who could mingle light with darkness? What harmony can there be between Christ and Satan? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What friendship does God’s temple have with demons? For indeed, we are the temple of the living God, just as God has said: I will make my home in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they will be my people. For this reason -2 Corinthians 6:14-17 (TPT)

We do not redeem Halloween by renaming it or repackaging it with cuteness. We redeem the time by “repentance and exposure”.

We must protect our children, close the doors we opened, and rebuild the altar of worship to the Lord Jesus Christ and Our Heavenly Father  alone.

A Prayer of Repentance, Deliverance, and Restoration

I invite you to join me now in this prayer.

Pray it aloud. Stand in agreement. Let Heaven record your words as we bring this matter before the Courts of Heaven.

Step 1 – Repentance and Confession

Heavenly Father,

I come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God.

I humble myself and confess that I, my family line, or my church have participated in the unholy celebration of Halloween. I repent for every act, word, costume, decoration, and exchange that honored darkness instead of You.

Forgive me, Lord, for ignorance and compromise. I renounce every agreement made through celebration, laughter, or curiosity with the spirit of death, fear, or witchcraft.

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” — 1 John 1:9

Wash me now in the precious blood of Jesus. Cleanse every doorway of my life, my home, my bloodline, and my memory.

Step 2 – Breaking Covenants and Nullifying Legal Rights

Righteous Judge of Heaven, I stand in Your court by the blood of the Lamb.

According to Isaiah 28:18, “My covenant with death shall be annulled, and my agreement with Sheol shall not stand.”

By that Word I declare:

Every covenant with death, destruction, fear, or darkness is now broken in Jesus’ name.

Every demonic right gained through participation in Halloween is revoked by the verdict of the Cross.

Every altar raised in my life, family, or region to honor death is torn down by the power of the blood of Jesus.Christ of Nazareth the Living God.

  “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.” — 1 John 3:8

I apply the blood of Jesus to every exchange of gifts, every decoration, every word, and every action that tied me to unclean spirits from participating in the demonic celebration called halloween.

Let the fire of God consume every demonic altar and scatter its ashes. Let only the altar of the only Living God, Jesus Christ remain.

Step 3 – Renouncing Spirits and Closing Doors

In the name and authority of Jesus Christ, I now renounce and cast down every spirit that gained access through Halloween or occult involvement:

spirit of fear, death, witchcraft, divination, torment, perversion, confusion, monitoring spirits and spirits of deception.

I command you to leave me now and go to the place appointed by Christ Jesus.

You have no legal right to remain. The blood of Jesus stands against you.

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” — James 4:7

Holy Spirit, seal every door with the Blood of Jesus and Your presence. Fill the places once occupied by darkness withthe Light of Your So Jesus Christ and your Shalom Peace. May the Shalom peace of God wash over me like a tsunami of living water

Step 4 – Restoring Identity and Inheritance

Father, I ask that You restore my identity — every fragment that was stolen, defiled, or lost through these rituals or compromises according to your perfect will for my life.

Breathe life into who You created me to be before the foundations of the world.

“I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten.” — Joel 2:25

Restore innocence where shame once ruled. Restore joy where terror lived.

Let every place of broken identity be rebuilt in truth. I receive the adoption of sons and daughters.

Step 5 – Declarations of Freedom and Blessing

I declare that Jesus Christ is Lord over my life, my family, and my house.

The curse is broken. The covenant with death is annulled. The blood of Jesus speaks a better word over me than any ritual ever could. (Hebrews 12:24)

I decree in the name of Jesus:

The Lord has redeemed my soul from the pit. (Psalm 103:4)

No weapon formed against me shall prosper. (Isaiah 54:17)

I am sealed by the Holy Spirit of promise. (Ephesians 1:13)

My home is a dwelling place of light, joy, and peace. (Psalm 91:1)

Step 6 – Thanksgiving and Commission

Father, thank You for the verdict of freedom rendered through the Cross.

Thank You for Jesus, whose blood speaks mercy, whose resurrection guarantees victory.

Empower me now to walk in holiness, boldness, and discernment.

Use my testimony to expose darkness and rescue others still trapped in fear.

  “They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.” — Revelation 12:11
