PRAYER FOR THE CHILDREN IN BONDAGE& FOR THE CHURCH TO RISE

RESCUED BY LOVE • PRAYER COLLECTION

Heavenly Father,

Hallowed be Your holy name.

Today we come before You on behalf of the children who cannot yet cry out for themselves - the children

hidden behind closed doors, trapped in abuse, exploitation, trafficking, slavery, ritualized abuse, and every form of darkness and bondage.

Father, find them. Protect them. Strengthen them. Rescue them.

You see every child the world has overlooked.

You know every name.

You know every location.

You see every tear that falls in secret.

Not one of them is hidden from You.

“The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”- Psalm 34:18

Jesus, draw near to them now.

Where there is terror, release Your peace.

Where there is despair, breathe hope.

Where lies have been spoken over their identity, speak Your truth.

Where innocence has been violated, surround them with Your presence and preserve the deepest places of

their hearts.

Father, expose what has been hidden in darkness.

Bring hidden places into the light. Give wisdom and courage to investigators, law enforcement, advocates,

teachers, medical professionals, neighbors, family members, and every person positioned to recognize the

signs and intervene.

• Open doors of escape.

• Interrupt the plans of those who intend harm.

• Bring perpetrators to justice.

• Lead rescuers to the children who are waiting to be found.

Your Word says:

“Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter.” - Proverbs 24:11

And Father, we pray for Your Church.

Wake us up.

Forgive us for the times we have been more concerned with comfort than compassion, more occupied with

our programs than the broken, and more willing to look away than to enter into another person's suffering.

Give us eyes to see.

Give us ears to hear.

Give us hearts that are willing to be broken over what breaks Yours.

Raise up pastors who will speak.

Raise up intercessors who will pray.

Raise up churches that will become safe places for survivors.

Raise up believers who will foster, adopt, advocate, give, serve, report, intervene, and stand beside those

coming out of darkness.

Father, make the Church dangerous to the kingdom of darkness because we have finally

remembered who we are.

We are the Body of Christ.

We carry the Gospel of Jesus Christ - the good news that there is freedom for captives, healing for broken

hearts, hope for the hopeless, and a Father who has not forgotten His children.

Jesus declared:

“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor... to proclaim freedom for the prisoners... to set the oppressed free.” - Luke 4:18

Let that same mission burn within Your Church again.

Not a spirit of fear.

Not outrage without action.

Not awareness without compassion.

But holy courage rooted in love.

Teach us to pray - and then teach us to rise from our knees ready to obey.

Show each of us our part.

For some, it will be prayer.

For some, advocacy.

For some, giving.

For some, fostering.

For some, opening their homes.

For some, walking beside survivors for years as they heal.

For some, exposing injustice and protecting the vulnerable.

But Father, do not allow us to simply look away.

Let Your Church become a refuge where the wounded are believed, the vulnerable are protected, the

brokenhearted are loved, and survivors encounter the heart of Jesus rather than shame.

And to every child who is suffering tonight, we pray:

May you somehow know that you are not forgotten.

May the presence of Jesus reach you in the place where human hands cannot yet reach.

May hope whisper into the darkness:

Hold on.

There are people praying.

There are people searching.

There are people rising.

And above all -

There is a God who sees you.

There is a Father who loves you.

And darkness will never have the final word.

Father, make us a generation that refuses to look away.

Awaken the Church.

Protect the children.

Expose the darkness.

Strengthen the survivors.

Raise up the rescuers.

Bring justice.

Bring healing.

Bring freedom.

Until every captive is free and every broken heart has encountered the One who is Love.
